Raccoon Tracks

Tracking raccoon on the banks of Allatoona Creek

Raccoon TracksWe found some raccoon tracks, on our #HikeOnHumpDay. The banks of a creek, like Allatoona Creek, are generally a great place to find animal tracks because of the wet sandy or muddy ground. Unfortunately, I shot this with a canon sporting a zoom lens – which is all I had with me at the time. So, some portions are a bit blurry and I had a tad bit of trouble locating the tracks through the viewfinder. However, I think I did an alright job recording the tracking process and featuring some of the things you might look for in your search for signs of wildlife.

I’ll be sure to keep a more appropriate filming camera on hand the next time I go into the woods.
