DeSoto Falls: Camp & picnic near this Georgia Waterfall
This easy 2-mile hike follows along the banks of Frogtown Creek leading visitors to upper and lower DeSoto Falls. The out-and-back hikes are a great, family-friendly way to enjoy the fall colors of North Georgia. The DeSoto Falls Recreation Area also offers picnic tables, and a campground.

From Blairsville, GA take U.S. Highway 19/129 south for 17.0 miles to campground entrance on right.
From Dahlonega, GA take Highway 19 north for 18.0 miles to campground entrance on left.
Minnehaha Falls: Stunning North Georgia Waterfall
Although the trail begins as a climb, at just under a half-mile it is a quick and easy walk to one of the most stunning waterfalls in the North Georgia Mountains. Bring your camera & a picnic because you’re going to want to spend some time snapping photos and relaxing near the tumbling waters.

Take U.S. 23/441 north from Tallulah Falls for 3 miles to the Rabun Beach Recreation Area sign. Turn left onto Old 441 & go 2.5 miles. Take left on Lake Rabun Rd. Go 1 mile past R.A. Take left on Low Gap Rd at Flat Creek Community sign. Follow Bear Gap Rd (forks left). Go 1.5 miles
Panther & Angel Falls: Beautiful Waterfalls in N. Georgia Mountains
This relatively easy hike near Rabun Beach leads to two fun waterfalls. Panther Falls appears around a half-mile into the hike. It’s a fun, playful area to explore before continuing to the observation deck to enjoy Angel Falls at about a mile. The out-and-back trail is nearly 2 miles in length and makes a fun family outing. The trailhead is located in Rabun Beach Campground, so set up camp and stay the night!

Take U.S. 441/23 south from Clayton for 5.4 miles; turn right on Wiley Connector for 0.1 mile; turn left (south) on Georgia 15(Historic 441) for 1.4 miles; turn right on Lake Rabun Road (County Road 10) for 5 miles. If pulling a trailer, the best route is to go west on Hwy 76 for 7 miles; turn left on Charlie Mtn. Road for 3.5 miles; turn right on Bridge Creek Road for 2 miles; turn left on Burton Dam Road for 5.4 miles. The campground will be on your left.
