As a southerner, I know how important it is to have at least a small collection of indoor activities that help us escape the hottest dog days of summer. So, save the dates of these $1 movie programs around the south for those hot & humid days when even the pool just feels like a boiling lake of lava.
Regal Cinemas
The 2014 Summer Movie Express runs for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer. On the calendar, I used the start date for Georgia & Tennessee Theaters. Please see your local theater for program start date. Admission to these films during the Summer Movie Express is only $1 and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute. Carmike Theaters
Each theater begins their summer movie lineup on a completely different schedule. So, it’s difficult for me to list on the calendar. However, you can visit their website, plug in your local details and find the schedule for your area theaters. Some of the movies listed for the Atlanta location are Epic, The Kroods, Turbo, Despicable Me 1 & 2, Lego Movie, Epic, Mr Peabody & Sherman and Rio 1 & 2
Studio Movie Grill
The Children’s Summer Series offers a budget friendly entertainment option for families, summer camps & weekday programs to escape the summer heat to watch $2 screenings of recent popular children’s movies.
